Research interests: Plant protection, organic fruit growing, variety studies, and winter hardiness of berry crops.

Thesis topic: ‘Winter hardiness of strawberries in south-eastern Ukraine and ways to improve it.’ 

Brief biographical information
Born on 18 November 1960 in Artemivsk, Donetsk region. After graduating from the V.V. Dokuchaev Kharkiv Agricultural Institute in 1983, he worked as a foreman of a horticultural brigade and, from 1985, as a junior and senior research fellow at the Donetsk Horticultural Research Station. Since 2002, he has served as the head of the plant protection laboratory at the Artemivsk (Bakhmut) Research Station of Nursery Stock of the Institute of Horticulture, National Academy of Agrarian Sciences. Since 2023, he has been working at the Institute of Horticulture of NAAS as a senior research fellow at the plant protection laboratory.

Participation in international and domestic projects
Co-implementer and manager of two environmental projects with the US and Dutch ministries (safe use of pesticides in private farms)
