Brief Biography
Born on May 4, 1964, in Teplyk, Vinnytsia Region. In 1986, he graduated from the Faculty of Fruit and Vegetable Growing at the Uman Agricultural Institute (now Uman National University). From 1987 to 1996, he worked at the Institute of Horticulture, NAAS of Ukraine, as an Agronomist, Junior Researcher, Researcher, and Senior Researcher in the Department of Agrotechnology.
From 1990 to 1992, he pursued postgraduate studies and in 1994 defended his PhD thesis titled “Study of Clonal Rootstocks of Apricot under the Conditions of the Northern Forest-Steppe of Ukraine” (supervisors: Doctor of Agricultural Sciences H.V. Yeromin and Candidate of Agricultural Sciences M.S. Shevchuk).
From 1996 to 2021, he held managerial positions in government bodies. In June 2021, he returned to the Institute of Horticulture, NAAS of Ukraine, where he currently works as a Leading Researcher in the Selection and Technology Department.
